Our mission
How it works
We connect traveling builders with a place to stay + sleep within the startup community. On the homeowner side, we help individual founders and hacker-house operators fill their empty rooms with ambitious, vetted people who are actually innovating.
If you are a founder with extra space, you make money on the side by hosting builders whom you want in your network. If you are a builder on the move, you land somewhere that matches your energy instead of an expensive and empty hotel room.

What happens after I pay?
You'll get a confirmation that your request went through. From there, it takes up to 72 hours to hear back. We personally review every application and match you with the right house, not just an available one. If accepted, you'll get a confirmation email with the full address, house contact, additional photos, and stay details. We'll also introduce you directly in a group chat with your house's point-of-contact so you're never navigating anything alone.
How do I know the houses are safe, vetted, and legitimate?
Every house is verified directly with our house leadership before it goes live. Houses go through direct conversation, network references, agreed terms, and a trial period. We don't let just anyone list. Once you book, you get official contact details, a direct introduction to the house, and a point of contact at BuildBnB if anything ever feels off. Stays are fully refundable up to 24 hours before arrival. We also vet every visitor. You'll be staying with researchers, founders, and engineers working on meaningfully innovative things. I have a space, how do I list it on BuildBnB?
Fill out the host form and we'll take it from there. We review your space, get on a call, and if it's a good fit, you're listed. Hosts earn through stay commissions per night on every booking. You won't need to pay any upfront costs to get listed. Your space also becomes part of the global builder network. The people staying with you are ambitious builders who will become your next great connection, collaborator, or friend. If you want your space full of the right people, start with our form shared above.
Can I stay long-term, or is it only short-term?
BuildBnB is built for short stays. A few days to a few weeks. It's designed for builders traveling to compete in hackathons, meet cofounders, have a fun trip, raise a check, or plug into a new city's startup ecosystem. If you're looking for permanent housing, this isn't the right fit. If you're traveling to get something specific done or for vacation, it is.
